The 21st Century employee is faced with a bewildering range of uncertainties in their organisations, fuelled partly by a need to rediscover the roots of good operating practice and community. And as people question the purpose of their working lives, the subject of workplace ‘spirituality’ has moved onto the main agenda of many business schools.
The Christian gospel has much to offer in terms of modelling teamwork, community development and teaching values which provide unifying focus. Sacrifice, courage, humility … these are all words from the Bible which are now common currency in today’s business leadership manuals
Christians need to recognise that they have much to offer their workplaces today, and can influence how they can be improved for the better.
